Like father, like son.

I'm sure you've noticed that I've been taking a break from blogging for a while...a little sabbatical, or blogger hiatus, if you will. Am I refreshed? Um, not exactly. The reason for my absence in the blogosphere is two-fold. First, my kids have both been throwing up for the last week, and second...I wasn't able to find my computer under the pile of vomit-covered laundry that has taken over my house.

Now that we are on the mend (knock on wood) I NEED to post something funny because otherwise I'd be folding laundry and being responsible, and I may throw up and start the whole cycle over again if I have to match one more sock.

I meant to post this before the Great Stomach Virus of 2007, but here it is, late, but better than never. I put Ty down for a nap last week, and came out of his room to a very quiet house. Jake was not in the living room, or kitchen, or his bedroom, and the silence was getting a little too silent for me. I opened the bathroom door to find this...
Actually, what I saw was even funnier than the picture. He had his elbows on this knees and was looking intently at the sports page. I asked him, "What are you doing, Jake?" "Oh, I'm just poopin' and readin' about the NFL."

Hmm, wonder where he got that.

That is AWESOME! He is getting so big.

Oh, this is so random but I keep meaning to talk to you about this. I don't know if you watched Kid Nation but there was a 10 yr. old boy on the show named Zach and he reminded me SO much of Jake. He looked like an older Jake, talked and acted like an older Jake. He was a very mature and articulate (sp?..I hate that there is no spell check here:) little guy. Anyway, every week I meant to call and ask you to watch for him...maybe I'll email you a pic. Okay, I'm done. Have a Merry Christmas..I'm glad the fam will be healthy for it!!! Love ya Ang!

oh.my.word. I am DYING right now...because I am pretty sure that if I had a son, we would have the same picture on our blog. Also, I think that might be a little too much info about Dan...oh well..it was funny!!!

I am so sorry that you have had sick kiddos. I am praying that we don't get that this year. We had it twice last year, so I think it is only fair we don't get it this year. Right??

Merry Christmas! LOVE YA!

You can tell how not caught up on blogging I am, but I just had to say, that has to be the single funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Thanks for making me smile today, I know you didnt do it on purpose, but thanks! Gives me lots to look forward to with James!
